The oldest craft, the newest floor
Long before there was flooring, there was weaving.
Warp and weft. Two threads crossing at right angles, over and under, and out of that simple decision comes everything: pattern, texture, depth, colour that shifts as you move around it. Every civilisation that has ever wanted to make something beautiful and make it last has arrived, eventually, at the loom.
Vertisol still weaves. Not as a metaphor, not as a finish printed onto vinyl to look like a textile. Actually weaves, on looms, in Spain, from yarn the company extrudes itself.
That distinction is visible the moment the material is placed in a room. The surface has a dimensional quality that changes through the day and rewards a closer look. It feels familiar because it comes from one of the oldest forms of making, and it reads, unmistakably, as a contemporary floor.
GEO Flooring is proud to introduce Vertisol Floor to Australia and New Zealand.
Tessitura is colour
At Vertisol, colour is not a flat chart applied after the product has been designed. Colour and weave are considered together, so the palette moves from soft and quiet to deep, graphic and expressive. Vertisol writes about it the way you would write about a room rather than a product.
Greens for balance, harmony, and nature — a smooth design, an invitation to calm and stability.

Blues as call to calm and serenity. A tribute to the sea — fresh and deep tones that relax the mind and lend elegance.

Cool Neutrals
Greys dressing the space with maturity and wisdom, conveying stability. Greys as an idea of neutrality that brings order to a space. Whites and pale tones for lightness and stillness, where less is more. Whites for the essence of Nordic minimalism.

Warm neutrals that recall the tradition of natural materials, wood and leather, for interiors meant to feel cosy and harmonious. Warm neutrals as a warm embrace.

Reds, plums and blush — determination made design, becoming the protagonist of the room. Reds and plums for vitality, energy and passion.

And Black Label. Sophisticated, elegant, dark and intense, where colour predominates in the warp and the result is serious, selected and deep.
A tonality for every space. A floor, a canvas.

Five weaves, five characters
The colour lives on a weave, and the weave is where the character comes from. Vertisol Floor is built in five of them.

Chroma
Chroma is the bicolour — two colours in the same weave, so the floor changes as the light moves and as you move through it. The most alive of the five.
Memphis
Memphis is the softest — a gentle textile character that suits contemporary, design-led interiors, and the collection that carries the Black Label, Arte and Concrete stories.

Panama
Panama is the most refined — a tighter, quieter geometry that behaves impeccably as a backdrop and rewards precision work.

Wicker
Wicker is the most familiar — the basket weave, scaled up and rendered in vinyl, warm and legible and endlessly forgiving in a busy space.
Designs within designs
Here is where Vertisol Floor stops behaving like a floor covering and starts behaving like a material.
Because Vertisol’s Frayless® process fuses the yarns during manufacture, the woven surface can be cut cleanly in any direction without fraying or exposing a raw edge. There is no grain you have to respect. No direction the material refuses to go.

So it can be made into shapes. Diamonds. Hexagons. Triangles, equilateral or right-angled. Trapezoids. Planks. Bricks. An arcade shape that curves the eye through a space. Which means a floor can be composed rather than simply laid.

A hexagon field in three tones of green that dissolves into a solid at the edges. A diamond stack that reads as three-dimensional from one end of a corridor and flattens as you walk it. A brand mark two metres across, cut into the floor of a reception, with no trims, no strips, no join you have to apologise for.
Vertisol calls this Composer. It opens the door to inspiration, and lets you create an infinite number of designs and compositions.
Designs within designs.
Same tile. New arrangement. New light.
There is one more layer, and it is the one designers tend to fall for.
Because the surface is genuinely woven, it catches light according to the direction of the weave. Turn a tile ninety degrees and the same colour, from the same box, reads differently.
Lay a tile field all in one direction and you get a calm, uninterrupted plane. Quarter-turn it and the floor softens into a subtle checkerboard that is felt more than seen. Stack diamonds and a cube illusion appears. Run planks in herringbone and you are back in the textile the material descends from, centuries of pattern, in a workplace.
One colour. One box. Half a dozen entirely different rooms.
It is the cheapest design move in the building, and almost nobody uses it.
Commercial flooring, approached through design
The design story is why Vertisol Floor earns a second look. The range is also built for the realities of commercial interiors, and can be considered for workplace, hospitality, education, retail and selected public environments, subject to the requirements of each project.
GEO Flooring can provide the current technical and environmental documentation for the chosen collection — construction, fire performance, slip resistance, acoustics, emissions, maintenance, installation and warranty — so the creative conversation and the technical review can happen side by side. First, what the floor can bring to the design. Then, how the chosen product and format meet the project’s practical demands.

Made by people who still call themselves weavers
Vertisol is a Spanish company, headquartered outside Barcelona, with production in Galicia. Everything happens in-house: the yarn is extruded there, woven there, coated and heat-set there. The site runs on 100% renewable electricity, and the process is engineered to use very little water.
They still describe themselves as weavers. That is more than a brand line. It is the reason the collection feels different from a surface designed only as flooring.
Vertisol Floor is phthalate-free, carries a third-party verified Environmental Product Declaration, is certified for low emissions, and is warranted for ten years in heavy commercial use. We will tell you all of that gladly, in detail, in a document with tables in it.
But that is not why you will specify it.
You will specify it because it is beautiful, and because it will let you do something you have not been able to do with a floor before.
Where it belongs
Education corridors, classrooms, libraries and breakout spaces. Corporate offices and workplace interiors. Reception and client-facing zones. Healthcare and aged care. Hospitality, retail and public-facing spaces. Zoning layers where a softer visual read is required.

See it, feel it, weave with it
Vertisol Floor is available now through GEO Flooring for projects across Australia and New Zealand. The full colour range can be sampled, with selected references held in local stock for projects that cannot wait.
For architecture and design practices, GEO Flooring can help with colour and weave selection, sample coordination, geometric layout concepts, project suitability and the documentation required during specification.
Order samples. Put them on the desk. Turn them ninety degrees and watch what happens.
